Why Branding Matters In Cocktails

Recently, our team had the opportunity to develop cocktail recipes for our client, Organika Vodka. As an ultra premium luxury brand, their first venue partners have been carefully selected, and when the opportunity arose to support them during Swim Week in Miami in collaboration with Hammock, an international luxury fashion show now almost a decade running, the decision was made immediately.
The challenge came when we needed to weave in a Siberian Vodka with an iconic Italian restaurant like Casa Tua Hotel in Miami Beach, and a well known fashion brand. To do this our team started with a theme, ‘sunset’, inspired by the time of day for the event, Siberia’s beautiful sunsets, and Hammock’s brand color.
The addition of fresh lemon and limoncello liqueur were added, not only to soften the bitterness of the Aperol, but also to stay on brand with the venue. A coral-hued twist on the widely popular and top selling aperitif cocktail, the Aperol Spritz, our finished cocktail concept was attractive enough for Hammock’s fashion law firm to playfully discuss patenting it.
Organika Sunset

- 1 1/2 oz Organika Original
- 3/4 oz Caravello Limoncello
- 1/4 oz Aperol
- 1/2 oz fresh lemon juice
- Splash Tussock Jumper Prosecco
- Lemon twist, for garnish
- Ice
In a cocktail shaker, add ice, and combine all of the ingredients except sparkling wine and the garnish. Shake, and strain the drink into a chilled coupe glass. Top with Prosecco, and garnish.
