Snowbirds Vintners chooses Winter Park based wine and spirits consulting firm as agency of record
In 2017, FK Interactive was tapped as agency of record for award winning Chef Jamie McFadden’s Snowbirds Vintners, headquartered in Winter Park, Florida. The agency will direct brand strategy, creative messaging, media planning and purchasing, as well as social media for the wine portfolio and virtual vineyard, with an initial focus on Snowbirds Vintners first three varietals.
The agency will also provide investor relations, distribution strategy, and ongoing brand development, as the business launches additional products.
The first Central Florida chef to cook at the James Beard House, and winner of multiple awards, Chef Jamie McFadden hopes to bring unique wine varietals to the southeast, using sustainable production and shipping methods.
Snowbirds first wine varietals and regions are as follows:
- 2015 Grüner Veltliner, Lake Chelan, Washington
- 2014 Merlot, Monterey County, California
- 2016 Rosé Blend (Rhône style), Lake Chelan, Washington
With sales beginning in Florida and coastal towns, Snowbirds Vintners has chosen to bottle locally in Central Florida, instead of transporting heavy glass across the country. This, in turn, saves on costs, as well as energy emissions. The brand also plans to develop a wine on tap program, extending the opportunity for restaurant partners to lower their waste production, and choose more sustainable products.

From an early age, Chef Jamie McFadden grew up helping his father make wine, and his mother frequently in the kitchen, with a Julia Child cookbook ever at the ready. Early on, his career path steered toward the culinary arts, and Jamie traveled and trained all over the world. Over his career, he has won multiple awards, and represented Central Florida as one of the area’s first chefs to cook at the James Beard House. However, winemaking continued to beckon.
